EXPERIENCE

From serious and violent felonies to misdemeanors and infractions, I am experienced in handling a wide range of criminal cases from arraignment through trial. These include: driving under the influence (DUI), assault, battery, domestic violence offenses, drug possession and sales, burglary, robbery, theft offenses, homicide offenses, sex offenses, firearm or weapon offenses, juvenile offenses, and probation violations.

I am experienced in representing clients and achieving results through California's pretrial diversion programs. These diversion programs allow eligible defendants to avoid jail time and have their case dismissed by completing treatment or educational courses. Common pretrial diversion programs include Drug Diversion (P.C. 1000), Mental Health Diversion (P.C. 1001.36), Misdemeanor Diversion (P.C. 1001.95), and Military Diversion (P.C. 1001.81).

I have represented many clients battling addiction and mental health illnesses, and I was grateful for the opportunity to be a part of a task force that implemented the Mental Health Diversion Program in San Luis Obispo County. I also personally advocated for the creation of San Luis Obispo County's Military Diversion Program and I am proud to represent our veterans and active-duty military personnel.
